The small, lovingly designed animal parks and the Zoo Leipzig with its Gondwanaland tropical hall, the Himalayan high mountain landscape and the new South America enclosure offer pure animal experiences. It's best to plan an entire day, as there is a lot to see. Animal lovers can also visit the beautiful Tierpark Eilenburg, the Arche petting zoo in Torgau, or the Tiergarten Delitzsch. Small and charming are the O-Schatz-Park in Oschatz and the Dornreichenbach animal enclosure in Lossatal. In the latter, you will find rare breeds such as the Costa Rican squirrel and the Jacob sheep. You can also admire the largest meerkat enclosure in Saxony here. In some of the parks, feeding and petting is even allowed.
