Where can I buy my Welcome Card?

You can get all Welcome Cards in the Tourist Information Leipzig at Katharinenstraße 8, where you will also find personal advice and a lot of other tourist information.

You can also purchase the Leipzig Welcome Card via the App LeipzigMOVE of the Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe. This app allows you to purchase tickets quickly and easily directly from your smartphone. Alternatively, you can use the ticket machines of the Leipzig public transport company and the MDV available, which are located at many stops. Also in the Service Center of the Leipzig Transport Company at the corner of Petersstraße/Markgrafenstraße and in the mobility center At Willy-Brandt-Platz you can purchase all types of tickets that include public transport use.

Do you like to plan ahead and want to have your Welcome Card in your hands before you arrive? You can order your Welcome Card in advance here. We will send you the card of your choice within a week in the form of a blank card. You decide who will use the card for the first time and when it will be valid. 

Please select any date in the future when ordering. (This must be selected for technical reasons and does not affect the validity of the card.) Please note: If you purchase a Leipzig Card during the current year, its validity is limited to 3 calendar months after price changes (usually from January).

The Leipzig Card 2-day ticket is only available in the App LeipzigMove available. You can order the Leipzig Regio Card annual pass using the form.

What do I need to consider when using it?

  • Please note the current date and your first and last namebefore you use the first service.

  • Remember to validate your Welcome Card before using public transport. There is a space on the back of the card for this.

  • When using the digital ticket, please have an identification document ready for inspection.

  • When redeeming at a restaurant, make sure to present the card before placing your order.

  • After price changes, the validity of already purchased LEIPZIG CARD is limited to 3 calendar months.
