Großpösna

Historical site
Großpösna and its districts have become centers of attraction for recreation and culture. Not only Lake Störmthal with its numerous leisure activities such as the floating art project VINETA, the mining technology park and the network of cycle paths are worth a visit. The Oberholz recreation area with its nature, song and hunting trail as well as the botanical garden also attract nature lovers from near and far.

The numerous districts also offer sights worth seeing for those interested in culture. The medical and hospital museum in Seifertshain, which commemorates the health care provided during the Battle of Leipzig, and Güldengossa Castle are well worth a visit. The organ in the church in Störmthal is also of particular importance. Organ builder Zacharias Hildebrandt, a master student of Gottfried Silbermann, built it in 1723, the same year it was inaugurated by Johann Sebastian Bach.
