Lake Thümmlitz was created in 1975 by the construction of a dam on the Thümmlitz beck. With a surface area of 3 hectares it is a natural habitat for beavers, waterfowl and fish, but it is used by people for bathing, pedal boating and fishing. A large meadow invites you to relax. 

The water is constantly monitored by the health department of the district of Leipzig and was approved many years ago as a bathing lake. Fishing licenses can be purchased from us as weekly fishing passes.
