The MeineLGeigen atelier combines over 300 years of craftsmanship with individual instrument making.
Master violin maker Anna Karoline Meinel has been running the MeineLGeigen atelier in Leipzig's Marienbrunn district since 2010, continuing a family tradition of over 300 years in violin making. The focus is on the construction of new stringed instruments in both modern and historical styles. Each instrument is made by hand - from the selection of suitable tonewoods to the production of varnishes according to traditional recipes.

A particular focus is on the historical Vogtland style of construction, which the atelier deals with intensively in terms of science and craftsmanship. In addition to faithful replicas, individual custom-made instruments such as left-handed instruments or asymmetrical violas are also produced.

The atelier also offers repairs and restorations of stringed instruments. The range is complemented by the sale and rental of violins, violas and cellos as well as matching accessories such as bows and cases.
