New exhibition center

The decision to build a new exhibition center was made at the beginning of the 1990s. The architects from Gerkan Marg + Partner designed the glass hall, which is characterized by transparency, clarity and straight lines. With a floor area of 20,000 m², these dimensions are unique in Europe for a steel and glass construction.

Visitors enter the 5 exhibition halls with more than 100,000 m² of covered exhibition space through glass tubes. The infrastructure of the exhibition grounds also includes 70,000 m² of outdoor space and the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL for short). The trade fair tower located on the site is the landmark of the new Leipziger Messe and bears the famous double-M logo of Leipziger Messe on its upper section.
