Formerly known as a manufacturer of machine tools, the Pittlerwerke now serve as an exhibition space for contemporary art.
Once known for its machine tool production, the Pittlerwerke in the north-western Leipzig district of Wahren has now become a work of art in its own right. Renovation work in recent years has ensured that a large part of the building complex can be used again. Similar to the Baumwollspinnerei and the Kunstkraftwerk, contemporary artists from all over the world are approached and invited to the works as part of regular events.
