Billi Bockert - the Heide-Beaver is the mascot of the Dûbener Heide Nature Park. He explains nature to young and young-at-heart hikers and encourages exploration and discovery. The starting point of the Billi-Bockert route is the Nature Park House in Bad Düben, the destination is the Hammerbachhütte at the Köhlerei. Designed for families and especially children, the hike offers lots of variety. The hike can be divided into several sections.
The panels cover the following topics: wilderness, city, life on the Mulde, through forests and moors, the mill clatters at Hammerbach, Billi receives visitors, life in Hammerbachtal, thunderstorm on the meadow, celebration at the beaver castle, the beaver castle, night hike at night and excursions through the heath.

Directions
The route starts at the Tourist Information in Bad Düben and leads past Bad Düben Castle on the left. Upon reaching Neumarkt street, turn left and follow the path until the next fork where you turn left again. After a curve, go right along a field or meadow path until you reach Finkenherd street. After a short section on the federal road, turn right onto Parkstraße and enter the spa park. Follow the Jacobsweg past the bus stop Obermühle/Museumsdorf. Then keep slightly left and follow the Jacobsweg over a small stream. At the beginning of Wittenbergerstraße, turn left and follow the path alongside the stream. Turn right at the NaturSportBad and cross the intersection of Wittenberger Straße. Then follow "Mühlweg" street to the forest cemetery. There turn left onto Reinharzer Straße and follow the path to the next left turn. Turn left there and follow the path until you reach Stelenweg or again the Jacobsweg. From there, the route continues on Jacobsweg past Döbelts Mühle to the Köhlerei Eisenhammer. The destination is the Hammerbachhütte in the Hammerbachtal.

Bad Düben is about 30 minutes by car from the A9 and A14 highways. The nearest exits are:
- A14 - Leipzig Mitte
- A9 - Dessau Ost
ParkingBad Düben: Parking lot Eilenburger Straße; parking lot Leipziger Straße, parking lot Dommitzscher Str. in the center
Public transportationTo Bad Düben:
Take the S4 (towards Torgau) to Eilenburg Ost. From the Eilenburg, Torgauer Landstr. stop, take bus 232 (towards Tornau) to Bad Düben (Mulde), Körbitzweg.
