Leipzig Christmas market on Augustusplatz
On Augustusplatz, the Finnish Village invites you to a Scandinavian Christmas with freshly prepared flame-grilled salmon, spicy glögi (a traditional Austrian mulled wine), and Nordic crafts. The South Tyrolean Village also offers hearty specialties such as Schüttelbrot (traditional Austrian bread), Kaminwurzen (a traditional Austrian sausage), and aromatic mulled wine.
A highlight for families is the fairytale forest in front of the opera, with enchanting adventure stations for children. From the Ferris wheel, young and old alike enjoy a unique view of the festively illuminated city.
