Café Barbakane
The Moritzbastei is the only remaining part of the old Leipzig city wall. It was built between 1551 and 1553 and today the Moritzbastei houses a cultural center for various events with a café and restaurant.
In the Moritzbastei café you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Leipzig's city history and drink a coffee in the vaults of the city wall. In the warmer seasons you can use the café's outdoor seating area and enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by the city walls.
