Experienced comedians or newcomers, everyone is welcome on our stage and can bring their latest material to test.
✨What is an open mic?
Open mics are testing grounds for comedians. There they can test new material in front of an audience and rehearse their set piece by piece.
Open mics are therefore extremely important for comedians and anyone who wants to get into the scene, as this is where they can perform stand-up comedy on stage for the first time.

It's important to us that open mics always have a relaxed atmosphere—it's okay to mess up your jokes. We look forward to seeing you 🫶
✨How does an open mic work?
The comedians take turns performing for 5-7 minutes and presenting their new jokes.
There is a short break in between, so the evening lasts about 90-120 minutes.
The special thing: you are there LIVE when new jokes are created, which are later played at shows & you can watch new talents in their first performances.
✨Admission is free / donation-based
You can reserve a spot in advance if you want to be sure of getting in or just drop by spontaneously.
We recommend a donation of 10€
Our comedy club is located in the Lipsia House on Barfußgäßchen. You can reach us via Große Fleischergasse.
Admission starts at 19:30 PM and is open until 19:50 PM.
Before the open mic, you can roll the dice to determine the price of your long drink. Anything between two and twelve euros is possible. So come along, grab your loved ones, and experience a fun-filled evening at the Phat Cat Comedy Club!
