Anton-Bruckner-Allee play and fitness area
Next to Nonnenweg and Elsterflutbett, a little southwest of the Sachsenbrücke bridge, is the Anton-Bruckner-Allee playground and fitness area or AOK playground. The name "AOK playground" comes from the adjacent AOK rehabilitation center. It also includes a mini golf course, restaurant, toilet facilities and ice cream stand.
The AOK playground is one of the most versatile and sporty playgrounds in Leipzig, where children and adult sports fans can test their skills side by side on the equipment all year round.
The site includes a calisthenics park with various outdoor fitness equipment.
The equipment consists of various climbing bars of different heights, a hanging track, a trim path, a sit-up device and rings.
That's not all. Next to the calisthenics park is a playground for small children with a climbing wall, balancing course and slide. Next to it is the popular table tennis table and two nest swings. The adjoining barbecue area rounds off the sociable get-together.
A few meters away there is a spacious meadow as well as a skate park and basketball court. A paradise for sports fans of all ages.
