The observation tower on the Bistumshöhe offers a picturesque view over Lake Cospuden.
The Bistumshöhe is an elevation in the south-western area of Lake Cospuden. There is a 35-meter observation tower that offers a picturesque view over Zwenkau and Lake Cospuden. With its chimney design, the tower is reminiscent of the former chimneys that shaped Leipzig for a long time. The name of the observation tower has its origins in the past of the hill, which is said to have belonged to the diocese of Merseburg. It is particularly worth a visit in the early evening hours to watch the romantic sunset.
