Boat hire at the VINETA-Bistro Störmthaler See
Lake Störmthal is the second-largest lake in the Leipzig Neuseenland and impresses with its vast expanse of water and idyllic shoreline. The boat rental is located right at the VINETA dock. It’s the ideal starting point for a tour across the lake.
Pedal boats, kayaks, rowboats, and motorboats are available on site. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing cruise or an active exploration tour, there’s a boat to suit every need. Reservations are recommended.

Directions & Parking facilities
- By public transit: From Leipzig Central Station, take S-Bahn lines S3, S5, or S5X to the Markkleeberg S-Bahn station. From the Markkleeberg S-Bahn station, continue on bus line 106 to the Auenhain (Markkleeberg), Seepark stop. From Auenhain, Seepark, take bus line 141 to the Störmthaler See, Vineta stop.
Alternatively, from Leipzig Central Station, take tram line 15 to the “Leipzig, Probstheida” stop and continue on bus line 141 to the “Störmthaler See, Vineta” stop.
By car: Take the A38 to the Leipzig Südost exit. Continue on the S242 toward Störmthal/Espenhain, follow the signs for “VINETA/Störmthaler See/Magdeborner Halbinsel,” and turn right onto the “Alte F95.”
Alternatively, take the A72 to the Rötha exit. Continue on the K7930 and S242. Then turn left onto the “Alte F95.” Social Media
