Tour to VINETA
In the south of Leipzig, this tour combines maritime flair with a special excursion to the Leipzig New Lake District.
The VINETA is a floating structure that symbolizes the lost Magdeborn church and is a memorial to the places that had to make way for the Espenhain open-cast lignite mine.With an eaves height of 15 meters, it is currently the highest floating structure on a German lake and at the same time an extraordinary event venue.

- By public transport:
From Leipzig main station take the S-Bahn line S4, S5, S5X, S6 to Markkleeberg. From Markkleeberg S-Bahn station, take bus line 106 to Auenhain and then bus line 141 to VINETA-Bistro/Störmthaler See or from Borna S-Bahn station, take bus line 141 to VINETA-Bistro/Störmthaler See.
Alternatively, from Leipzig main station, take streetcar line 15 to Probstheida and then bus line 141 to VINETA-Bistro/Störmthaler See.
By car:
Coming from the A38: Take the A38 exit Leipzig Süd-Ost and drive towards Störmthal/ Espenhain. Follow the main road and turn right into "Alte F95" following the signs for "VINETA/Störmthaler See/Magdeborner Halbinsel".
Coming from the B95: Take the B95 exit Espenhain and follow the signs to Störmthal. Approx. 2 km after leaving Espenhain, turn left into "Alte F95" and follow to the end.
