Colditz

The small Saxon town of Colditz is nestled in the valley of the Zwickauer Mulde. The historic town center with its Renaissance-style town hall still bears witness to its former stately splendor. Colditz Castle, once an internment camp for high-ranking officers of the Western Allies during the Second World War, is now home to the Escape Museum. The varied landscape is also ideal for hiking, cycling and boat trips.

By car: Take the A14 and B107 to Leisniger Str. in Colditz. Take the S44 to Im Tiergarten.

By public transport: Take the RB110 to Tanndorf and continue with bus line 621 Colditz, Leisniger Str.. Alternatively, take the 613 bus via Bad Lausick to Colditz, Sportplatz.
