Flora Metaphorica

In Tina Altus' flora-metaphorica studio, she creates imaginative and unique works of art - from real flowers. To do this, the artist collects flower blossoms of different shapes and colors in her garden retreat in Markkleeberg in the Leipzig region. These are broken down into their individual components, pressed and dried. A special process ensures that the natural colors of the flowers are preserved. From these, Tina Altus creates floral works of art, usually on commission, which depict imaginative shapes or landscapes with people or animals. Each picture is always a unique original, as no flower occurs twice in nature.

The flower pictures are particularly popular with bridal couples who have their bridal bouquet transformed into a unique work of art. This process is protected by a utility model. The flower artwork can also be produced as unusual wall tiles. Tina Altus invites you to stroll around the garden on the Open Garden Day and three times a year at her "Party aux fleurs", offering you the opportunity to get to know her working methods and the results. She always has works of art on display in her studio store and also offers fine gifts for sale. Visits to the studio with ongoing exhibition and the garden are possible at any time by appointment.
