The Kunstkraftwerk is a venue for multimedia exhibitions, spectacular 360° video shows and a unique cultural hotspot in Leipzig's west.
Immersive, digital, interactive, multimedia! In 2016, the former cogeneration plant in Leipzig was transformed into a center for digital and contemporary art. On over 2,000 square meters, the Kunstkraftwerk offers international exhibitions, symposia, readings, concerts, parties and culinary delights, just a few meters away from the Spinnerei, Westwerk and Tapetenwerk. The focus is always on you, the visitor. You are invited to discover, learn, be amazed and have fun. Your inspiration is like energy for the Kunstkraftwerk.
The museum has quickly established itself as a sought-after center for contemporary art and culture in Europe. The focus is on IMMERSIVE ART, where visitors immerse themselves in the works of art in multimedia shows and installations.
The recommended length of stay at Kunstkraftwerk is 1.5 to 2 hours. The program for 2024 includes digital and contemporary art exhibitions inspired by world-famous artists such as Lewis Carroll and many others. From February to June 2024, visitors can view the exhibition "Claude Monet - Master of Colors and Lights". The immersive digital art exhibition animates more than 300 paintings and sketches by Monet and invites the viewer to discover Impressionism in a whole new way.
