Lake Zwenkau is the largest lake in the southern part of the Leipzig - a highlight for water sports enthusiasts and peoples who is looking for some relaxing.
The exhibition pavilion, KAP is located above the harbour with the sandy beach, restaurants, tourist office and holiday accommodation. In here, the model of the spoil conveyor bridge, AFB 18, and an exhibition on the region's mining history can be visited. An unparalleled view over the lake is revealed from the roof terrace of the impressive building.
Directly on the southern lakeside, the Eichholz forest invites you for walks in its idyllic nature. Nature enthusiasts shall not be disappointed by the North shore of the lake either, since extensive hikes can be enjoyed along the hiking trails in the "Harth" and "Neue Harth".
