Leipzig Wildlife Park
One of the city's most beautiful recreational areas is located in the southern alluvial forest in Leipzig's Connewitz district: Leipzig Wildlife Park. Around 25 animal species and up to 250 wild animals from Central Europe live on an area of 42 hectares.
The zoo is an attractive destination for families with children, as all animal species are easy to observe thanks to their extensive enclosures. The park's status as a center for recreation is reinforced by the numerous cycling and hiking trails where you can discover the forest and its inhabitants. Playgrounds and the wildlife park restaurant round off every trip to the wildlife park.
