Schillerhain playground

A particular highlight is the newly created mud play area with water pump, which enlivens the  listed park. There is also a restored ornamental fountain from the 1950s. In addition, concrete play sculptures have been introduced, which are particularly attractive for the visually impaired - two ducks that have a direct link to the nearby Parthe river.

Adventurous  play and climbing facilities  with track have been integrated for older children. There are also two table tennis tables. The playground is particularly attractive thanks to the extensive greenery. There is a shady beech tree in the middle of the muddy area, which provides additional cooling while playing.

Special seating options, such as a round bench around the historic Schiller lime tree and seating walls, invite you to linger. However, it should be noted that this is no longer the historic Schiller lime tree, which was planted by Schiller admirers in the 19th century, but its successor, which was planted 15 years ago.

You can combine a visit to the Schillerhain playground with a trip to the nearby Schillerhaus, the Gohliser Schlösschen or a short excursion to the Wackelturm in the beautiful Rosental valley.
