Wermsdorf, which was first mentioned in a document in 1206, owes its current fame beyond the borders of Saxony to its scenic attractions and interesting history shaped by Saxon history. Even the Saxon rulers, including Augustus the Strong, came to Wermsdorf to relax. Since 2004, Wermsdorf has officially held the title of "state-approved resort". Here you can relax like royalty and take advantage of a wide range of offers. Our tourist information office is located in the old hunting lodge, the older and smaller of the two Wermsdorf castles. Directions & Parking facilities
- By public transport: Take the RE50 to Dahlen station. In Dahlen change to bus line 816 (Mügeln via Wermsdorf) to Wermsdorf Hirschplatz.
By car:
Via A14: Take exit 32 Mutzschen. Follow the S38 to the Grimmaer Straße junction. Continue via Clara-Zetkin-Straße, Schulstraße, Schloßstraße to Altes Jagdschloß.
Via B6: In Luppa turn off in the direction of Wermsdorf onto S24. At Hirschplatz turn off towards the Oschatzer Straße industrial estate. Continue via Clara-Zetkin-Straße, Schulstraße, Schloßstraße to Altes Jagdschloß Organization
