Craft market in Höfgen - a "market of the senses"

If you love useful, beautiful and rare things, this craft market is just the thing for you. Regional craftspeople, traders and artists present their passion, offer their goods and invite you to take a look

Regional craftspeople, traders and artists present their work every day on 28 and 29 September. The focus is on originality, regionality and quality. For example, visitors can experience glass engraving and glass painting from the  field of traditional crafts, as well as interesting woodwork carved with a chainsaw. Something mystical can also be found at the market: In addition to natural products such as creams and ointments, the Henke family offers special healing stone products. The clockmaker, who knows how to breathe new life into the old parlour clock or even the mechanical wristwatch, is back on site. The orthopaedic shoemaker will be demonstrating the skill of shoemaking and other specialities of leather processing. The wheelwright will show visitors how a spoked wheel is made by hand. Another highlight is the Muldenhauer, who knows how to make three wooden troughs from one log, which were used to knead dough in "days gone by".

Of course, we have also thought of the little visitors: crafts and painting, where the little ones can give free rein to their creativity.
Regional vendors provide for the physical well-being. As every year, there will be fresh bread and sugar cake from the historic watermill oven at around 12.00 noon on both days.

There will also be guided tours of the watermill museum. You can also visit the Schiffmühle technical display facility on the Mulde and the Bismarck Tower in Jutta Park.
