The cycle route winds its way through the North Saxony district in the shape of an "M" and connects various cycle paths along its approximately 285 km, such as the Elster Cycle Route, the Leipzig Green Ring, the Coal| Steam| Light| Lakes Cycle Route, the Elbe Cycle Route, the Mulde Cycle Route, and many more. This makes exploring North Saxony a breeze.

The cycle route is around 285 km long in total and winds through the district of North Saxony in the shape of an "M". It begins in Leipzig and leads clockwise along the Elster cycle path to Schkeuditz, along the Green Ring Leipzig cycle route to Schladitzer See, along the COAL | STEAM | LIGHT | LAKES cycle route to Delitzsch and then along the Torgisch cycle path through Bad Düben to Torgau. The route then continues over the Elbe bridge and along the Elbe cycle path to the right of the Elbe until you cross the Elbe by ferry to Belgern, then along the Elbe cycle path to Strehla and along the Mulde-Elbe cycle route to Oschatz. On a section of the Döllnitztal cycle route, cycling enthusiasts cycle via Mügeln to Wermsdorf, Dahlen and Schildau and from there along the Dahlener-Heide cycle route to Wurzen. Finally, the cycle route leads along the Mulde cycle path from Wurzen to Eilenburg and via Taucha back to Leipzig.

The navigation is set for a clockwise route. It is of course possible to choose a different starting point or to do the tour in the opposite direction. In this case, special attention must be paid to the changed route due to one-way streets or paths.
