Arnold Pottery

Short facts

Arnold Pottery is characterised by its dedication to the tradition of handmade pottery and its high-quality products.

In the old Saxon pottery town of Kohren-Sahlis, Arnold Pottery has been making high-quality functional and artistic ceramics since 1548. This long tradition is maintained today, meaning that all their products are still created entirely by hand. There are no cheap, mass-produced items here – the potters make beautiful local products that are worth every penny.

In the pottery workshop, visitors can admire the beautiful ceramic creations as they are formed and painted. The wide range of products on offer includes hand-thrown unique designs in blue-white, grey-blue, cornflower and light and shadow patterns as well as more fashionable modern designs such as the 'Sommerwiese' ('summer meadow') line.

The ceramics can be admired and purchased at the pottery itself when there are open days and at numerous pottery markets and fairs. For anyone who would like to give pottery a try, courses are held where participants can make a very personal special gift for themselves or for a loved one.
