The Bio City Leipzig technology and start-up centre is a research facility that links business, science and research. Three-quarters of the 20,000 m² site, opened in 2003, is used by biotechnology companies and one-quarter by the Biotechnological-Biomedical Centre of the University of Leipzig. Together with the university's professors, young and future-oriented companies can set new standards in the fields of biotechnology, biomedicine and health care.
