The Bürgermeister-Ringenhain-Haus is part of the Torgau Museum Trail, which offers visitors the opportunity to experience history up close while strolling through the town in selected buildings of historical value.
Behind the simple façade of the stately town house are ceiling and wall paintings of the highest quality from the late 16th and early 17th centuries. The parlor on the second floor impresses with its painted wooden beam ceiling. 40 angels can be seen on it. Hartenfels Castle also used to have an "angel room", but this is no longer preserved. With this unique interior decoration, the building is the most important Renaissance town house in Central Germany in terms of art and cultural history.
