There are plenty of places to stay thanks to a variety of hotels and guest houses. Beautiful restaurants with longstanding traditions cordially invite you.
Cavertitz's districts have a long history. In the 13th century a manor was built in Cavertitz. Today the castle is used as a primary school.
The former manor in Lampertswalde, which was built at the end of the 14th century, is well worth a visit. It boasts a well-kept park, rare botanical treasures, a restored gardener's house which was converted into an apartment and a café. Thousand-year-old urns were found in Schirmitz in a late Slavic cemetery from the 11th and 12th century. During the Battle of Mühlberg on 24 April 1547, Emperor Karl and his brother Ferdinand, King of Bohemia and Hungary, took refuge in the parsonage (now an apartment). Remains of a 17th-century deserted settlement and a monastery estate can be found in Reudnitz. In Sörnewitz, the paper mill built in 1669 was of great importance and the mountain mill was in operation until 1955.
In addition, there are historical buildings such as the windmill of 1763 in Zeuckritz (restored in 1996 - visits are possible by appointment), the former water mill of 1800 (today a restaurant) and the church built in 1870 in Bucha as well as the three-arc bridge (1845) in Klingenhain. In Schöna, the gateway to the "Dahlen Heath", the animal enclosure is an attraction. A shooting range in Sörnewitz is the venue for national shooting competitions which take place several times a year. The municipality of Cavertitz offers numerous other leisure activities that make it an ideal place to spend a couple of days.
