Church Deuben
The church was built around 550 years ago as a small place of worship and has been extended three times over the centuries. These structural changes still shape the special character of the building today. The most extensive remodeling took place in 1658, giving the church its current appearance. A special feature is the surviving bell from 1508.
From around 1700, maintaining the church was a major financial challenge for the people of Deuben. It was not until 1995, 2004 and 2011 that extensive renovations could be carried out thanks to favorable circumstances. Since then, the church has had a heating system and is also open for services in the winter months.
