Church Panitzsch

  • Church
Panitzsch church was originally built in the 13th century and later rebuilt in the Baroque style, standing on a 142-metre-high church hill
Together with the Bergkirche Beucha and the Hohen Thekla church, it is one of the so-called "Three High Priests" in the Leipzig area. The church has been extensively renovated and since 1993 has been known beyond church life as a lively cultural venue with concerts, exhibitions and other events. Inside is a historically significant Flemming organ from 1786, which was restored and reconstructed in 1993.
