Delitzsch Zoo
The lovingly designed, barrier-free zoo is located just a few minutes' walk from the baroque castle and Delitzsch's old town. Around 400 animals of around 100 species live here, including meerkats, flamingos, zebras, coatis and crowned cranes. The two new arrivals Taya and Zuri, two female servals, have settled in perfectly and are curiously exploring their 1,200 square meter territory. These fascinating little cats are waiting to be discovered.
In a large, walk-in bird aviary, benches invite you to linger and go on a little safari into the local bird world. Many species can be listened to and observed. Numerous play stations scattered throughout the grounds make the visit an experience for the whole family. The "Zafari Station" cafeteria team takes care of your physical well-being with home-made delicacies and a cozy, covered outdoor seating area right at the entrance.
