You will find the Pegelturm directly next to the B100 from the exit of Bitterfeld in the direction of Wittenberg. There is a paid parking lot right next to the Pegelturm and a free parking lot right next to the Bernstein Villa, from where it is a 5-10 minute walk to the Pegelturm via the paved circular hiking trail.At the Pegelturm you will find a restaurant with a terrace and a view of Lake Goitzsche.

The pontoon tower floats on the surface of Lake Goitzsche and can be reached by pontoon bridge. Two counter-rotating spiral staircases allow you to ascend and descend the water level tower, which offers a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Goitzsche and the towns of Friedersdorf, Bitterfeld, Mühlbeck and Pouch, and even as far as the Leipzig Monument to the Battle of the Nations in good visibility

The X-Trend stainless steel cable mesh from Carl Stahl, which resembles an oversized stocking, was pulled over the entire tower to prevent falls
