Neukieritzsch

There is a lot to discover and experience in the municipality of Neukieritzsch, located in the southern Leipzig Neuseenland. Colorful holiday homes and apartments line the promenade at the Kahnsdorf lagoon on the Hainer See. In addition to the local sailing school and boat rental, other shops and tourist attractions for maritime life on the lake are also being built. In the center of the town is the manor house, which has been converted into an idyllic café and was visited by Friedrich Schiller.

Another person associated with Neukieritzsch is Katharina von Bora. She went down in history as Martin Luther's wife. Commemorative plaques are attached to the village church in Kieritzsch. The municipality of Neukieritzsch is located on the Luther Trail, the Pleiße Cycle Trail and the "Via Imperii" pilgrimage trail.
