Observatory "Juri Gagarin" Eilenburg

  • Observatory
The Juri Gagarin Observatory in Eilenburg has been a meeting place for astronomy enthusiasts since 1964. The planetarium on the Mansberg has a dome diameter of 6 meters and offers space for a total of 40 people. There are age-appropriate lectures for school classes and public family shows. Regular observation evenings are also offered from October to March. The bright and computer-controlled reflector telescope allows spectators to view the starry sky up close.

On the planetary trail, which starts southwest of the Eilenburg zoo and leads to Bobritzer Damm, the distances and sizes of our planetary system are displayed over a length of 2.8 kilometers.
