Residence - Schauspiel Leipzig
The residency is a venue of Schauspiel Leipzig, which is exclusively available to freely produced projects. Performative productions are presented on the grounds of Leipzig's Baumwollspinnerei in Hall 18, in which artists of various genres work as "artists in residence" for a period of six to eight weeks on a theme and implement it intermedially.
Independent of the Schauspielhaus's repertoire operations, the residency aims to try out other aesthetics and working methods in the theater. Dance and visual arts have just as much a place here as spoken word performances and music. The working methods are open, processual and experimental.
