the naTo
Since 1982, naTo has been presenting experimental jazz, free theater, performances, readings, Eastern European music culture and pop and rock concerts. The naTo also stands for grassroots socio-cultural work in the neighborhood. Workshops and courses are organized, discussions about politics, culture or art events are initiated - even outside the house on Südplatz run by naTo e. V.. Every year, the association organizes the major event "Prix de Tacot" - the naTo soapbox race on Fockeberg and the "BachSpiele" festival for young talent at Leipzig Central Station as part of the Leipzig Bach Festival.
The current focus of the programme is on promoting young Leipzig talent projects in the fields of contemporary jazz, pop and theater, as well as cultural participation projects with people with and without migration experience. The cinema programme at the naTo is organized by the Cinémathèque Leipzig e.V. - an independent association.
The naTo also attracts children with a colourful theater programme, such as the Knalltheater, which usually takes place at the weekend.
However, the naTo is not only known for culture. It also runs a restaurant, which is open daily from 6.30 pm.

- The pub opens daily from 18:30.
The box office opens for every live event. If the event starts before 8 p.m., it opens 30 minutes before the start; if the event starts after 8 p.m., it opens one hour before the start. Price info
- Children under the age of 2 do not pay admission.Information on reduced prices: Pupils, students, Leipzig Pass holders, Hartz IV recipients and Holders of a disabled pass (if an accompanying person is noted on the pass, they receive free admission) receive discounts at the box office. The discount can only be claimed if the entitlement is presented at the box office.
