Torgau Town and Cultural History Museum
The faithfully restored building of the former Electoral Chancellery has been presenting an exhibition with historically valuable exhibits since 2005 and invites visitors to a special kind of encounter with the history and culture of Torgau.

Family vacation
- We are a museum with a permanent exhibition on the varied history of Torgau as well as changing special exhibitions with a family-friendly focus. You will find us in the middle of Torgau's beautiful old town, right next to the youth hostel and Hartenfels Castle. We have an enclosed courtyard area and a garden.
Special features
We have new games about the city's history for all age groups in the exhibition:- Museum rally, Jump through the city's history, Museum memo, Speak up!, Form your own judgment! General or sutler, Torgau puzzle and Do you know me?.
- In addition, many educational museum projects can be booked throughout the year.
- Our Christmas exhibitions are particularly popular with families.
