Exhibition on the history of the town and gardens in the building of the former Electoral Chancellery.
The faithfully restored building of the former Electoral Chancellery has been presenting an exhibition with historically valuable exhibits since 2005 and invites visitors to a special kind of encounter with the history and culture of Torgau.

Family vacation

We are a museum with a permanent exhibition on the varied history of Torgau as well as changing special exhibitions with a family-friendly focus. You will find us in the middle of Torgau's beautiful old town, right next to the youth hostel and Hartenfels Castle. We have an enclosed courtyard area and a garden.

Special features
We have new games about the city's history for all age groups in the exhibition:
  • Museum rally, Jump through the city's history, Museum memo, Speak up!, Form your own judgment! General or sutler, Torgau puzzle and Do you know me?.
  • In addition, many educational museum projects can be booked throughout the year.
  • Our Christmas exhibitions are particularly popular with families.
