Volkshaus Döbeln

  • Cultural centre
  • Culture and event venue
The modernized Volkshaus houses halls for events, a fireside lounge and a bowling alley.
The Volkshaus is a place steeped in tradition. As early as 1702, events were held in a predecessor building, then called the Schützenhaus. In 1887, the Volkshaus was built in its present form. Then, as now, it is a social center for Döbeln and the entire region. Dance balls, graduation parties, company events, carnival sessions and many musical events take place here. Every year, more and more institutions and organizations also hold their Saxony-wide conferences and similar events here.

In recent years, the building has been extensively renovated and modernized. There is a very large, free parking lot on Steigerhausplatz right next to the building, which is also suitable for buses. It is only a few steps to the lively city center.

The large hall has a maximum capacity of 400 seats, but can be set up for smaller events by partition walls
The building also has a fireplace room with 40 seats and a bowling alley with four lanes and 25 seats (reservation under 03431 6069194). There is no restaurant in the Volkshaus itself, but catering by external restaurateurs is easily possible. If required, the operator can also arrange catering companies.
