Around its shores, it fascinates with diverse vegetation. Especially the forest on the spoil heap in the south invites to walks. The water quality itself is excellent, which is why the lake is considered one of the most important diving waters in Central Germany. Various bathing beaches invite you to relax around the 150-hectare lake.

Directions
- The lake circuit path begins in the northwest of Kulkwitzer See. It leads down the west side to the south, passing through the "Park am See" and the small Fun Park. Once in the south, the beach is passed and on the east side the path continues north again. Passing the Kraken playground and the former mini-golf course, you reach the north via Seestraße. On the left side is now the campsite and the beautiful beach. In the north, the route runs only along the water skiing and wakeboard facility until the starting point is reached again.
