Summer cinema in Plagwitz - Schaubühne Lindenfels
The Schaubühne Lindenfels is once again inviting you to its summer cinema this year. You have to visit the Plagwitzer Markthalle in Markranstädter Straße. A large screen has been set up there, offering an exciting open-air cinema during the warm summer months until the end of August. The Marktcafé will be transformed into a small cinema bar, providing snacks and drinks for the perfect movie night.

Delicatessen
In the colorful inner courtyard of the Feinkostgelände, an open-air cinema takes place in July and August . The program is varied. You can watch current German and international productions as well as informative documentaries. It all starts at 9.30 pm - "Film off!". You can either buy tickets online in advance or at the box office from about half an hour before the movie starts. There is also a small sales hut for drinks and snacks. The summer cinema offers space for around 100 visitors. But don't worry if you arrive a little late - the operators have plenty of plastic chairs so that everyone can find a seat.
Each screening costs 9 euros, concessions 8 euros. A big plus point: the summer cinema at Feinkost is covered so that rain and bad weather can't spoil your evening.

In the extraordinary ambience of the Galopprennbahn Scheibenholz, you can enjoy film screenings on a 200 m² screen from July 9 to August 17, 2025 . LVZ Summer Cinema
Leipziger Volkszeitung invites you to its own LVZ-Sommerkino on the forecourt of the editorial building on Peterssteinweg from August 18 to 23. The films to be shown have already been selected and admission is free - all you have to do is register in advance to attend the movie in the open air. You can find out where and when this will be possible either on the LVZ social media channels or in this article.
Tip: Make sure you bring your own headphones! Visitors can only follow the film on headphones that they have brought or borrowed themselves. A cinema experience of a somewhat different, but also special kind!

Luru Cinema in the Spinnerei
The Luru Kino in the Spinnerei also offers an open-air cinema during the summer months. For this, white plastic chairs and a screen are simply set up outside the world-famous art center - and the cinema adventure can begin!
The films are shown from Thursday to Saturday. They always start at around 9 pm or at dusk. But beware: In case of rain, the screening is canceled!
