Bad Düben windmill

It looks like new, but is already quite old: the Düben windmill north of Leipzig was built in 1840. Bock windmills were of simple construction and could be moved if necessary. Almost 70 percent of the historic windmill was reused in its reconstruction and rebuilding. The mill technology is even fully preserved and functional. With the support of public and private donors, the Dübener Heide Museum Village Association has given the mill in Bad Düben a new future. Even from a distance, the unusual windmill welcomes its guests, encouraging not only cyclists to take a welcome break. A visit proves what high-quality mill craftsmanship can achieve.
