With a rich forest landscape, the Wyhra with lush floodplains and dreamy ponds, you can still encounter a piece of untouched nature here, which you can discover on numerous cycling and hiking trails.
Part of the municipality has been declared a landscape conservation area. The "Eschefelder Teiche" nature and bird sanctuary is probably one of the best known in Saxony. Our town also owes its title of "Gateway to the Kohrener Land" to its scenic beauty.

Culturally and historically valuable buildings and tourist attractions include the wonderful Frohburg Castle with its museum, the Prießnitz manor with its agricultural exhibition and the farmer's town hall built in 1712. The pottery girl and the pottery fountain in Kohren-Sahlis symbolize the long tradition of pottery and the work of the artistic ceramist Kurt Feuerriegel in his home town. When you visit Frohburg in western Saxony for the first time, you will be surprised. Behind the petty bourgeois façade, a charming little town awaits you that is worth seeing in more ways than one. Whether you are a nature lover, a lover of historical sights, whether you are looking for relaxation or prefer sport and action - there is something for every taste. There are many leisure activities on offer for a day trip or vacation. There is a modern campsite in the middle of the Pahna forest as well as the beautifully situated Frohburg natural outdoor pool surrounded by porphyry rocks. A wide range of sports facilities, municipal cultural and meeting places and various clubs offer plenty of opportunities for varied and interesting leisure activities.
Traditions are very important in Frohburg: Every year, many guests flock to the vintage car rally or the pottery market in Kohren-Sahlis. For almost 60 years, the Frohburg triangular race on the third weekend in September has attracted numerous motor sport fans from all over the world to our town. Wickerwork, pottery courses and the imposing Gnandstein Castle also make our region famous.

Regular events such as the Saxon equestrian championships, the art market with mill day at the Lindenvorwerk, the shopping evening by torchlight, the Michaelmas market in Kohren-Sahlis, Christmas markets in many districts, various village festivals and much more make our town familiar and varied.
