Gosenschenke & home brewery "Ohne Bedenken"

The Leipziger Gosenschenke "Ohne Bedenken" is the only pub of its kind still in existence and is one of Leipzig's traditional pubs. Above all it is the place to go for Leipzig's regional product! The name goes back to the waiter Karl Schmidt, who always answered the question "Can you drink Gose?" with the words "Without hesitation". Gose, an old Leipzig beer, is served neat, with a shot or with liqueur. Since 2017, there has been a small pub brewery in the Gosenschenke, where the "Edelgose", which was awarded "Gold" at the "World Beer Awards" in 2019, is brewed. 2018 saw the addition of the "Kellergold" and 2020 the "Schwarze Hahn". Seasonally, there are also interesting craft beers to enjoy.

Consisting of a restaurant, beer cellar, club room and large beer garden, the Gosenschenke awaits its guests in a historic setting with Old Saxon dishes on the menu. You can also experience live barbecues and beer garden parties here free of charge. Every year in November, the traditional St. Martin's goose dinner takes place
