Ladegast organ in the town church of Naunhof

  • Orchestras & Ensembles
There is evidence of an organ in Naunhof as early as 1610. Destroyed by fire, the church received a new organ in 1723.

Friedrich Ladegast (1818 - 1905) learned organ building from his brother Christlieb (1813 - 1896). After his years of traveling, he founded his own company in Weißenfels in 1846 with the help of his brother. In 1880, the contract for a new organ in Naunhof was signed with him. The organ was consecrated in 1882.
There is evidence of an organ in Naunhof as early as 1610. Destroyed by a church fire in 1716, the church received a new organ in 1723. Built by Ladegast, the organ with mechanical action and slider chests, II/22, was redesigned in 1950. It was reconsecrated in 2011 after a thorough reconstruction and restoration by the Wegscheider organ building workshop.
