St. Mary's Church Rötha

Its construction began around 1510/1520, but the originally planned large church was never completed, so today it is mainly the choir that remains. The late Gothic hall building with a ribbed vault and three-sided choir end is characteristic, complemented by exterior facades with buttresses and pointed arch windows. The interior is characterized by baroque furnishings from the early 18th century, such as the galleries, pulpit and stalls. Particularly noteworthy is the historic Silbermann organ from 1722/1724, which was temporarily removed from the church in the 20th century and is still used for concerts today.
