Church Kieritzsch
Originally a Romanesque choir tower church. It was redesigned between 1697 and 1702. The free-standing pulpit altar and the patronal lodge date from this period. A late Gothic sacrament niche has been preserved in the sacristy. On the west gallery is the Schlag&Söhne organ from 1907/08.
Gottlieb Schlag (1803 - 1889) studied with Gottlieb Schönburg in Schafstädt. From 1834 - 1869 he was the owner of the company Christian Gottlieb&Johann Karl Schlag in Schweidnitz. The Schlag&Söhne company operated under this name from 1869 to 1923. Founded entirely in the tradition of mechanical organ building, the organ built in 1907/08 for the church in Kieritzsch was manufactured with cone chests and pneumatic action. II/12. The primarily fundamental tonal specification corresponds entirely to the sound ideal of this era. A general overhaul was carried out in 2010/11 by the Bochmann company, Kohren-Sahlis.
