Just half an hour from Leipzig, in the green heart of the Saxon Burgenland, the stately Trebsen Castle rises above the west bank of the Mulde river. Even from afar, the four-winged castle complex welcomes visitors with a late Gothic façade interwoven with multi-faceted ornamental gables. Inside Trebsen Castle, the charming restaurant invites you to linger. Under sublime diamond vaults, guests are treated to freshly prepared à la carte dishes, sweet treats with coffee, entertaining banquets, stylish weddings, tasteful wine tastings, individually designed celebrations and similar delicacies. The castle kitchen combines the delights of traditional country fare with the elements of courtly culinary delights and spices it all up with a pinch of creativity. All dishes are freshly prepared and the chefs attach great importance to the quality and origin of the ingredients, which are sourced from the region wherever possible. In fine weather, the outdoor seating area in the inner courtyard and the castle terrace with views of the Mulden river offer many a hospitable spot.
In addition to the historic restaurant, there is also a sublime banqueting hall, a registry office and soon stylish overnight accommodation.
