In the middle of the green heart of the Saxon Burgenland (castle country), stately Trebsen Castle rises above the western bank of the Mulde.
Only half an hour away from Leipzig, in the middle of the green heart of the Saxon Burgenland, stately Trebsen Castle rises above the western bank of the Mulde. Even from afar, the four-wing palace complex welcomes its visitors with a late-Gothic façade interspersed with multi-faceted ornamental gables. Inside the castle, the charming restaurant invites you to linger. Under the sublime diamond vaults, guests are spoiled with freshly prepared dishes à la carte, sweet treats for tea, extravagantly prepared desserts, stylish weddings, lavish wine tastings, individually-arranged celebrations and more. The castle kitchen combines the pleasures of traditional country cooking with elements of royal delights and spices it with a pinch of creativity. All dishes are freshly prepared and the chefs place great importance on the quality and origin of the ingredients which, if possible, are regionally-sourced. If the weather is nice, open-air seating in the inner courtyard and the palace terrace with its panoramic view of the valley offer some welcoming surroundings.
In addition to the historic restaurant, there is a grand ballroom, a registrar's office and very soon there will be stylish accommodations.
