Zwenkau is a lovable, family-friendly small town surrounded by the largest lake in Leipzig's Neuseenland region. From the town harbor at KAP Zwenkau with its steadily growing residential, leisure, recreational and  water sports area, you also have an incomparable view of the lake, the pyramid of the BELANTIS amusement park, the Bistumshöhe observation tower and the silhouette of Leipzig.


Other destinations worth seeing are: Mining exhibition pavilion, viewpoints on the lake, town hall, Laurentius Church, Bauhaus Rabe, "Sattelhof", water tower, "Schützenhaus", Ratskeller, baroque community center, KulturKino, nature and geo nature trail, "Trianon" and Lindenallee Eythra in Zwenkauer Eichholz as well as Elsteraue along the "Weiße Elster".


Zwenkau is located on tourist trails such as the "Lignite Road", "Leipzig Green Ring", "7 Lakes Hiking Trail", "Elster Cycle Path" and the "Neuseenland Route". Zwenkau's idyllic districts are also worth a visit: Großdalzig, Kleindalzig, Löbschütz, Rüssen-Kleinstorkwitz, Tellschütz and Zitzschen.

Directions & Parking facilities

Zwenkau is best reached via the Markkleeberg-Gaschwitz or Böhlen S-Bahn stops. Bus lines 100, 101 and 107 will take you to the center.
