- Start: Dreiheide, OT Süptitz
- Destination: Torgau, market square
From Dreiheide, the path leads through a unique heath landscape. Martin Luther is known to have stayed here in 1535 when he visited the Süptitz church. At that time, Süptitz was known as a wine-growing region and the Elector sent Süptitz wine to Luther several times. Torgau impresses with its historic old town, which can be reached through the town park. The market square here invites you to linger. As the former residence of the Electors, it is one of the origins of the Reformation. Hartenfels Castle with its castle church is a must. Luther consecrated the castle chapel here in 1544. A special highlight is the town church of St. Mary with Katharina Luther's gravestone.
