Directions
The tour starts at the Vereinigte Mulde in Grimma on Friedrich Oettler Straße (near Grimma Castle). From the starting point, cross the bridge over the Vereingte Mulde, then turn right and walk along the banks of the Mulde. Follow the path until you reach the suspension bridge and the Hotel Gattersburg. Then keep right and enter the city forest. A short time later, the path leads onto the Mulde valley hiking trail Freiberger Mulde. Continue along the bank past the chainsaw sculpture to the Höfgen ship mill. The restaurant of the Schiffsmühle adventure hotel is located on the left-hand side. The beer garden invites you to take a short break. Then continue along the riverbank to the next bridge. Turn left at the bridge and continue through beautiful Höfgen, past the fortified church to the Wassermühle Höfgen museum. Turn right before the museum and follow the path. The route continues along the Mulde until shortly before Förstgen. Here, turn onto Vierhäuserweg to Förstgen.
